It's a Thursday Evening Speed Scrap!

BOTCT Round 2

Happy's Scrap Girls seriously rocked this round!! We chose U2 as our theme. They're a great band w/ lots of lyrics to choose from. I'm pretty pumped about it because no one shared our theme. I absolutely love my LO. It ended up having a mind of its own & turned into a 2-pager. The journaling kinda chronicles our family's search for a house & my feelings on it. The lighter colored writing is a collection of memories or events or ways we were blessed while living here in this rental home.
I am so thankful for how the Lord provided for us while we have lived here. We are currently pretty serious about a house we found on Saturday morning. J is calling the lender, insurance agency & others today & hopefully we will be writing an offer sometime this week. I am doing all I can to not 'move-in' prematurely. It is difficult to not paint rooms & rearrange furniture in your head. Buying a home is a strange thing - you have to at least get a little attached before you offer. It seems impossible not to have a broken heart if it doesn't work out. But I know that God really does have something better if they don't accept our offer.

Get Ready!

Well, I think this week's DSA challenge for the Battle of the Creative Teams was tough! The theme for this round is "I've Got Rhythm." Again, the whole team has to have a common theme. It seemed that with my team there is just too much about music we loved!! But we finally settled on something. So far, it's looking different from all the others. So, I'm pretty pumped about that. You're going to have to wait until tomorrow though . . . I'm not quite finished. I may even be able to make a QP with it too!

First Blog Post!!

Hey all! I wanted to start over again with a scrapping blog. I really was terrible the first time. So, let's see if I can do a better job. The goal is to post once a week! I think that should be pretty attainable. Well, on to some business!! :)

I'm currently CT'ing for a few awesome designers. One is Happy Scrap Girl. She's awesome to work with & her team is lots of fun!! 5 of us are in a little CT competition over at DSA (digiscrapaddicts.com). AND WE NEED YOUR help!! Please vote for us!! Here is my LO for this round. I had a baker's dozen of photos of S & needed to get them scrapped, so this was a great way to get 'er done. The challenge for this round was using negative space (empty space) and have a common color scheme.
